Glockenapfel is a very old heritage apple orginating in Germany or Switzerland sometime around the 1600's. A rare golden, bell-shaped apple. It is aromatic, low acidity, sweet and fruity. It cooks in slices and is traditionally used in apple strudel. Ready mid to late season, an excellent keeper-- it may keep 6 to 8 months without refrigeration.
