Bounty is a Northern Highbush variety, which is only available to the members of Blueberries New Zealand. It's a low chill variety which was bred at North Carolina State University by Ballington, Mainland, Duke, Draper and Galletta. The large berries have good flavour with above average colour, stem scar, and firmness.
Fairly high maintenance variety, but is consistently productive and shows tolerance to cane canker and stem blight. It is susceptible to anthracnose. Berries keep well on the plant and have good shelf life.
Generally speaking this is a variety which will perform best in warmer, northern sites.
